Manifesto II
Curator's Note [May 1 2008]: These comments below refer to my previous website Projects. It's an interesting look back, and many of the sentiments and passions expressed still resonate with me today.
When I first started this web page, I didn't really know what it was about, I wasn't even sure if I'd keep with it. As I write this, two years later, perhaps now I know.
I'm a writer, these are things I wrote. I'm a programmer, these are things I've created. I'm a person, sometimes I need to let off steam. But I try to have a sense of humor about it. These are my projects. This webpage is how I let others see what I do, and what that might be can vary from day to day. This website is not a reflection of me, but instead contains the things that I create.
Some pages contain the absolute best of my talents, others were posted half-drunk at two in the morning, while everything else falls somewhere in between. I'd like to think I have a good eye for quality control, although sometimes things slip through; hopefully you'll like what you find. The only caveat is things marked journal: sometimes I need to get things out of my system, so enter those ones at your own risk. And if something seems like pure crap just remember: it's all free.
I have opinions about what my site should be. It's not very flashy. Instead, I have content. There aren't many links. Instead, I have content. Original content (making no claims as to my originality, however). With the very rare exception, entirely created by me. The constant drive for content can be at odds with my desire for originality and quality. So if there are long gaps between posts hopefully you'll wait, with me, agreeing that when I do post something, it will be a reason to come back.
So look around. Have fun. Enjoy what's here.
I'm glad you came.
